Hero MotoCorp has launched a new variant of the Glamour X 125 motorcycle, priced at Rs 1.01 lakh ex-showroom Delhi. This model introduces single-channel ABS paired with an Integrated Braking System (IBS), making it the first 125cc bike in India to combine these features. The original launch of the Glamour X 125 occurred in August 2025, where it made history as the first 125cc motorcycle in India to feature cruise control. The current update expands this technological leadership by integrating advanced braking hardware, further differentiating the model in a crowded market.
Safety and Braking Innovations
The new braking system aims to enhance stability and reduce front-wheel lock-up during hard braking. It also includes Panic Brake Alert, which flashes LED indicators to warn vehicles behind during emergencies, along with hazard lamps. This update positions Hero as a leader in safety features within the 125cc segment, traditionally dominated by combined braking systems. The Panic Brake Alert specifically operates by rapidly flashing the LED indicators when emergency braking is detected, ensuring that vehicles following at a distance are alerted to the sudden stop. This visual warning system complements the hazard lamps already available on the model, creating a multi-layered safety net for urban traffic conditions where sudden stops are frequent.

The Glamour X 125 retains its feature-rich package, including cruise control, multiple riding modes, and Bluetooth connectivity. The bike’s 10.7 cm adaptive multi-colour console displays over 60 functions, such as real-time mileage and gear-shift advisories. Additional features include turn-by-turn navigation, Type-C USB charging, and dual under-seat storage. The multiple riding modes consist of Eco, Road, and Power settings, allowing riders to adjust throttle response for different commuting needs. The Bluetooth connectivity goes beyond basic phone calls to provide turn-by-turn navigation with estimated arrival times, as well as incoming call and SMS alerts. The instrument cluster also tracks distance-to-empty, helping riders plan refueling stops more accurately during long journeys.
Engine and Design
Powered by Hero’s Sprint-EBT engine, the motorcycle delivers 11.4 BHP at 8,250 rpm. No mechanical changes have been made to the engine with this update. The design remains consistent, with two new color options—Gun Metal Grey and Matt Axis Grey—added to the existing palette. The Sprint-EBT engine produces 11.4 BHP (8.5 kW), providing sufficient power for daily commuting while maintaining fuel efficiency. The physical design is tailored for comfort, featuring a wide handlebar, a relatively low seat height, and a long, flat seat. These ergonomic choices are specifically aimed at making everyday commuting easier and more accessible for a wider range of rider heights and preferences.
For riders, the introduction of ABS in the 125cc segment offers a safer alternative in a competitive market. Until now, the TVS Raider 125 was the only model in this category with ABS. The Glamour X 125 ABS now provides buyers with another option, potentially shifting expectations for safety features in commuter bikes. Among the key rivals in this segment, the TVS Raider 125 had previously been the sole option offering ABS. By adding this feature, Hero ensures that buyers looking for premium safety equipment are not limited to a single brand choice, intensifying the competition for tech-focused commuters.

The Glamour X 125 competes with models like the TVS Raider 125, Honda SP 125, and Bajaj Pulsar 125. With its ABS variant, Hero aims to appeal to riders prioritizing safety without compromising on features like cruise control and Bluetooth connectivity. The Bajaj Pulsar 125 has recently been updated, making the 125cc market particularly dynamic. The Glamour X 125 distinguishes itself by combining the newly added ABS with its unique cruise control and Bluetooth connectivity, offering a distinct value proposition compared to the Honda SP 125 and other competitors.
The base Drum Brake variant is priced at Rs 88,517, the Disc Brake variant at Rs 96,836, and the new ABS variant at Rs 1.01 lakh, all ex-showroom Delhi. Hero’s latest update shows its focus on combining safety with technology in the commuter segment. The Glamour X 125 also features a full LED lighting package with Hero’s H-shaped signature, enhancing visibility and aesthetic appeal. The dual under-seat storage is designed specifically for mobile phones, ensuring that essential devices are secured and accessible during rides.
