Mahindra Experiences About 40 Percent Growth In Car Sales For February 2024

Indian automaker Mahindra has released its sales report for February 2024. Last month the company managed to sell over 42 thousand units of passenger vehicles, which is approximately an increase of about 40 percent in comparison to monthly sales of last year. With each passing month Mahindra is closing in on the gap in monthly sales chart with Tata Motors in the Indian market. The continuous rise in demand for SUVs can help Mahindra to secure the third position in the sales chart, also recently Mahindra had announced that it is increasing its production capacity to cater to the pent up demand.

In February 2024, Mahindra managed to sell a total of 42,401 units of passenger vehicles. This figure includes products sold in the domestic market. This indicates a year on year increase in sales by 12,043 units which translates to 39.66 percent year-on-year increase in domestic sales. The sales figures for total passenger vehicles sold by Mahindra for February 2023 stood at 30,358 units.

The year to date passenger vehicles sold by Mahindra in the domestic market this financial year till February 2024 is 4,19,246 units. This indicates a year on year increase in year to date sales in the domestic market by 95,990 units which translates into 29.69 percent year-on-year increase in year to date sales for financial year 2024. The year to date sales figures for passenger vehicles sold by Mahindra in the domestic market for financial year 2023 for the same period stood at 3,23,256 units.

Commenting on the occasion Veejay Nakra, President, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd. said, “We sold a total of 42,401 SUVs in February, with a growth of 40% and 72,923 total vehicles, a 24% growth over last year. In our endeavor to make some of our SUVs available faster to consumers, we launched the Scorpio N Z8S variant and the Thar Earth edition this month”.
